This week we learned about ten models and theories regarding leadership, and the one that stuck with me the most was the Relational Leadership Model. The Relational Leadership Model is a model that states that a leader must form a close relationship with those that he leads, or his or her leadership will not be as effective. I agree with this because I believe that if you really want someone to do as you say then you should get down on their level and feel the way you do. An example of this model is when teachers or mentors actually lower themselves to the level of their students in an effort to understand them better, which is something I appreciate very much. I feel like this model suits me because I would be willing to step off of a pedestal and lower myself to be more in-tune with the ones I am leading.

This picture is of a group of people placing their palms in front of the words "Social Change" written in sand. I picked it because it is about people coming together in front of one common goal. This goal is to bring about social change in the world. It relates to me because I believe that one person cannot bring about a global movement alone. He or she would need the support from other followers who were willing to come together to make a change.

Avi, I definitely agree with you about the Relational Leadership Model, that is actually the one I picked too. I believe that is the most effective way to lead by getting down on your peers' level, like you said. Also, what you said about Social Change is so true. One can have the goal in mind, but to achieve that goal it takes more than one person. Great ideas!
